Countdown Pro

Getting started

Add Countdown Pro as a monday.com dashboard widget or board view and configure the first countdown.

Getting started

Countdown Pro has two installable surfaces. Use the dashboard widget when one or more milestones deserve focus. Use the board view when you want a live countdown beside every dated item.

Before you begin

  • You need permission to install apps or add views/widgets in the destination monday.com account.
  • Board-connected timers need a board with at least one Date or Timeline column.
  • Optional items-left context works best when the board also has a Status column with a clear completion label such as “Done.”

Add the dashboard widget

  1. Open a monday.com dashboard.
  2. Choose Add widget.
  3. Find Countdown Pro and add it to the dashboard.
  4. Open the countdown settings inside the widget.
  5. Choose Add countdown.
  6. Pick a source:
    • A date I pick for a standalone milestone.
    • A date column on a board for a specific item or the earliest date in scope.
    • Next upcoming deadline to roll automatically through future board dates.
  7. Choose the display style, labels, colors, and any time rules.
  8. Save the countdown.

You can add more than one countdown to the same widget. Each timer keeps its own source and display settings.

Add the board view

  1. Open the destination board.
  2. Select the plus button beside the board’s view tabs.
  3. Choose Apps and add Countdown Pro.
  4. Select the Date or Timeline column to display.
  5. Choose a group or leave the filter set to All groups.
  6. Decide whether past dates should remain visible.

Rows are sorted by deadline. Past items, near deadlines, and future items use distinct urgency treatments so the view remains scannable.

Change an existing timer

Open the settings control in the widget, select the countdown, make the change, and save. Configuration is stored for that monday app instance, so a second widget can have a different setup.
