Why does Budget vs Actual need board-read permission?
The app reads board structure, groups, and the selected Numbers and Timeline columns to compute the report. It requests read access only and never edits items.
Does Wild West Labs receive my board data?
No. The app runs client-side inside monday.com and has no Wild West Labs backend. Board data stays in your browser session, and settings are stored in monday.com instance storage.
Which columns can hold the amounts?
Numbers columns only. Formula columns cannot be used because the monday.com API returns no value for them. If you need a computed amount, keep it in a Numbers column, for example through an automation, or use a Numbers column with the unit set to currency.
How often do the numbers refresh?
Board data is re-read about once a minute while the widget is visible, with longer gaps after a failed request. Reload the dashboard for an immediate refresh. The day-based burn figures also tick over on their own at midnight.
Why do viewers see a notice instead of the report?
monday.com does not let view-only users call the API, so the app cannot load board data for them. Viewers see a short notice; members and guests with board access see the full report. This is a platform rule, not an app setting.
The widget says the connected board is gone
The board was deleted, archived, or you lost access to it. Open the settings and pick another board, or restore access on the board.
Only the first 5,000 items per board are counted
Very large boards are read in pages and capped at 5,000 items per board to protect your account's API budget. Split the board or filter the source to specific groups if the cap is reached.
Can one widget report several boards?
Yes. Add another board in the settings. Choose one row per board for a portfolio roll-up, or keep one row per group and each row is prefixed with the board name.
Why is the forecast blank?
Forecast at completion needs a project period and at least 5 percent of that period to have elapsed. Daily burn needs at least one full day.
